Dear Mrs. Pendergrass,
This is my final piece of writing for you. Which is actually pretty sad and makes me feel nostalgic about this past year. When I had originally planned this out I was going to be all "I'm gonna try to sound professional, like I am a true scholar" but now that I think about it that sounds like too much work and I will probably fail at that so I'm just going to be real with you. I hope that's okay.
As I have finally nearly finished this portfolio, I am quite proud of it. One day in the future I'm gonna find it and look back on it and probably eat ice cream and be sad like a 12 year old teenager meeting a member of a boy band. When this happens I'll call up some old friends and say "Remember English class with PG?" and they're gonna say yes and we'll cry together and it'll be a bittersweet moment.
Hopefully when I have a high school reunion you'll be there for some reason and I'll say
"PG!" and you'll say "Michael!" and then I'll give you a hug and we'll talk about how annoying those darn freshman are and how I am currently famous for creating the next popular item sold everywhere. That probably won't happen, but you never know, it could. I hope it does that would be really cool, and say if I sell it and for some reason it's expensive, all you have to do is call me. I'll send you five of them for free. Or however many of them you want. But that's only if I make an invention and it's very successful. Basically what I'm trying to say, is that you're such a cool teacher that if I were to be the inventor of something really expensive I would give it to you for free because you're that cool. I hope that was easy to understand.
You're so cool that I'm actually really sad that I'm leaving this class. It's not going to be the same without you teaching it, and that half of us are gonna be split up. It will never be the same, which is really sad. But it's also kind of great because it was like an experience, you know? None of us will ever have an experience like this again, which makes this class all that much better. I am so proud to have been in this class.
I'm so proud that I was in this class that when I go off to college and meet new people I'll talk about my favorite class, and my favorite teacher (you), and they'll say how they wish they had you and I'm gonna say too bad and laugh at them because I won at having the best high school teacher.
I am going to miss having you over the summer, it was great. Luckily, I will be taking other classes with you so we can still keep our party going, am I right? I'm going to work really hard next year and I am so excited to see you everyday and say "Hey PG!" because it's fun and sometimes it makes someones day which is cool.
However, something that happened today may have not made my day. You looked at Emily and said "wanna see Michael freak?" and then you said that it was you're last year teaching. If it was, that would stink because you're a fabulous teacher and it would be very crappy if you didn't teach anymore, you know?
Well, I guess it's time to close this letter. It's been great PG. I have so many memories and I can't wait to look back at them one day and smile at them. You have truly had such an impact on my freshman year (in a good way, of course) and I can't wait for the rest of my high school career. It's been fun PG, keep it peachy, and keep smiling.
I wanted to come up with a killer last sentence because I have a thing for really good endings, so here it goes: "Bein' all like Johnny Weir, I be all cool and really fier-ce, I guess it's time to say goodbye, but not for long because you haven't seen the last of this guy."
